My experience surfing with phenomenal kids!

This experience in South Africa has been a blessing. One which has encouraged my desire to continue working with youth through surfing and other engaging activities that empower their dreams and abilities to reach their full potential. We are all given special gifts, unique talents that come from within, but sadly with the environments kids grow up in these days discovering them can be near next to impossible. With the help of volunteers and the guidance of Dave and Fiona, the surf shack gives kids an outlet; a way to channel their pains, fears, and frustrations into something constructive, beautiful, and empowering. In the ocean they are free, able to just be, allowing creativity and the true nature within to shine. The surf shack has provided more than just surfing. It's given these kids and volunteers a way to connect and share in life experiences that will bond them for life.
